collignon-brewery-in-lecluse
The brewery has been created around 1923 by Paul Collignon. In 1927 the factory produced around 2.000.000 liters of beers per year, mainly highly fermented bottled beer.
In 1946 the production reached 3.000.000 liters yearly of the same highly fermented beverage.
The production was split among 30 bars. The deliveries were done with a horse-drawn carriage until 1947! Unfortunately, we only found the abandoned trucks during our exploration. Up to 70 people used to work there in 1946.
The brewery stops in 1951 and becomes a warehouse for the Grande Brasserie de Lille.
The brewery is turned into a beer warehouse; we found tons of different beer labels in the cellars of the factory.
The most famous brand from this brewery was certainly the beer "les Quatre As", well known from the beer labels collectors!
