An industrial waste land of 3 hectares that you have to explore quickly before it disappears! This plant located in Verviers was built in 1937 and was producing and delivering steam (until october 2004) and electricity (until 2001). Originally built for the needs of the local textile (mainly wool) industry, it diversified to domestic heating with high pressure and temperature water.
Seventy kilometers of pipes fed more than 1100 private or industrial places.
The closing of INTERVAPEUR in figures: - decrease of 15% in the consumption of primary energy, - annual decrease of 216 tons of CO2, - suppression of annual waste of ± 11.000 m³ of hot demineralized and deoxidized water.
