sncb-abandoned-building
Close to Namur, there is a repair site of the SNCB (Belgian national railway company). Nearby, one can find in the jungle this large abandoned building. Empty, but pretty nice. Rare remains show that it was a logistic center, such as cleaning of the uniforms and so on.
The administration should have been located in this building too, as many old archives witness. The document on the right lists a wagon that has been repaired after a bombing that happened in 1944 (click on the thumbnail to see the complete document)
The place is pretty quiet, isolated from everything, well preserved. Yet another exploration in the middle of nowhere...
Been there yesterday -the building is pretty rocked through softair-fans - they've even build a Parkour. Very impressiv was the impact of the bomb - the whole ceilings have been crashed down or lifted up through the pressure-
Did you find out, whether the builing was shut down because of the bomb or if there have been people 'experimenting' after the building was abandoned?
I would really like more info on this!
Thanks for this nice hint,
Lyra
Can someone tell me what the exact location of this building is? I'd love to go there for a photoshoot, or just to explore things first.
Very nice! Been there too, nice place.
